SHHH, it's early! Or late at night, whichever you prefer. But yeah, it's almost Halloween! I'm excited! I love going to haunted houses and stuff, though I don't think I'd ever go to a real one! A real haunting would probably scare the crap out of me, and I'd go running for cover, haha.
I actually don't have a mask to wear, or a costume or anything, because I'm broke and living here by myself. My parents help pay the bills, but only up to what I can't support myself. It gives me a bit of spending money but mostly all my cash goes towards bills. KFC isn't exactly the best way to get ahead in life...I should have finished college.
Anyway, so I've decided that I'll tell you all a creeeepy story, since it's Halloween. Did I mention I like this holiday? Ok, so this happened back when my dad and mom lived here. I worked nights then as well, so I always came home around ten or eleven pm. I'd watch Letterman and then a recorded Leno (or the other way around) do their monologues, and then my parents went to bed. They slept in the living room, and I got the big bedroom in the back!
I'd stay up late at night posting on message boards, watching anime, and being a general nerd. We didn't have high speed internet then, so you can imagine how long it took me to watch an episode of Fullmetal Alchemist (an anime) on youtube. I remember it was like a three hour wait until it loaded! Anyway, on with the story. So I'd stay up late at night and play games and watch TV and stuff, and then I'd go to bed.
The bathroom is located right outside my bedroom door, inside a short hallway that leads into the living room. I had developed a habit of looking down the hall at our big screen TV (the old projector kind) and VCR clock. I don't know why I did, but it always just put me at ease. I guess I liked seeing the time or something. Anyway, there was never anything there, of course...until one night...dun dun duuuun!
Basically one night I went to the bathroom and looked down the hall like usual. Only instead of the usual peaceful scene, I found a strange sight. The numbers were partially covered up! It had to be the cat, I told myself. I turned around to find said cat in my room. I looked back down the hall, and it was still there. Some shadow was blocking the light from the VCR clock. It took me about a minute to finally register what that meant: Someone was in my house! (The irony of it all, right?)
Anyway, I freeze, and he (or she) freezes. He knows I'm looking at him, and I know that he knows. It's like he thought he might blend into the shadows if he stayed still long enough. In the gloom, I tried to decide what to do. I could scream and wake my parents, but that could get all of us shot, and plus I'd look like a pansy. I decided to do the "smart" thing, and just continued to stare like a deer in the headlights. The figure was shrouded by the darkness that he stood in, and all I could make out was that he had a round, bald head. My dad fits that description, so for a moment I thought it was him.
We just stand there, staring at each other. I begin to tell myself it's just an illusion, that I'm seeing nothing. Then the shadow moves across the living room, bringing the numbers on the VCR display back into sight. I mumble something about "forgetting the dog's water bowl" and nope all the way back to my room, where I grab my katana. I'm determined to corner this guy and wake my dad, who sleeps with a gun (inb4loltypicalTexans) because he was in Vietnam.
As I enter the hallway, headed for the living room, I swear I hear the front door close. Nothing moves in the living room. I scour the area from the edge of the bathroom door, and find no intruder. That seemed to be that. In the morning, I asked my dad if he had gotten up in the middle of the night or something, and he said no. I told him what happened and he just laughed it off, cause nothing was taken and there were no footprints in the carpet or anything showing that someone had walked on it recently. He figured it was just my imagination, but I know I saw something. From that night on I brought a knife with me to the bathroom everytime I went.
So there! That's my "scary Halloween tale" for all of you! It really happened, and it was creepy enough that you think I'd never want to experience anything scary again but it was also kind of cool! It has a real "ghost" feel to it, and it was fun to talk about with my friends at the time. Well, it's late (or early. Again, perspective) and I've scared myself with that story, so I think I'm going to bed. I just have to find me a knife...

REALLY LARGE FONT
Haha, sorry about that. I'm still getting used to the whole blogger thing. I'm not really that good at it yet, but HEY, IT'S OCTOBER! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays of the year! It's always exciting to see people dress up and wear masks, pretending to be people they're not. Wow, there is so much wrong with that sentence grammatically speaking.
But yeah, I can't wait! It's gonna be alot of fun! I'm reading a few creepypastas to get into the spirit of it all. I was reading about "The Rake" but I really find "The holder of the end" to be pretty interesting. It's definitely got the potential to be a great story! It'd be cool to have people continue it on or something, maybe make a tv show out of it. I dunno. My only source of creepypastas is /x/, so you'll have to forgive me if my knowledge is limited.
But yeah, Um...friends of mine that might actually read this blog! Tell me a creepy story! Post a creepy picture! Do something so I'm not just talking to myself! Thunder(my dog, I think I mentioned him in my first blog post) is kind of stupid so he doesn't scare well. He does grin though. It's a really awesome thing that chihuahuas do, passed down from wolves. He only does it with a few of us but he'll grin and bow down, apparently it's called a "submissive grin." So now you know!
But yeah, send me creepy stuff, bloggers! Catcha later!
